Private Equity Americas

GIC Private Equity is one of the largest Private Equity investors in Americas. We have a longstanding history of investing in PE in the US dating back to 1982.

We deploy capital in areas where we can utilise our comparative advantages, namely, a long investment horizon, global presence, sector expertise, as well as skilled, and experienced teams.

We tap into our advantages to reap excess returns from investments that require longer gestation periods, and operational value to realise their potential. Our investing effort is carried out by a team of in-house investment professionals, organised along regional, and product lines. We conduct in-depth due diligence, and research to identify businesses with the potential to generate good long-term returns. While the bulk of our investments are in developed markets, particularly in North America, and Europe, we also have a meaningful presence in emerging markets.

GIC Enable Programme (GEP)

GIC launched the GEP as a dedicated programme providing internships to students with disabilities with potential for full-time conversion. We hope that through the work experience gained during their time with us, these students gain the confidence, practical knowledge and industry networks that will enhance their future employability. GIC has partnered with SG Enable, 10000 Able Interns and Leonard Cheshire’s Change 100 internship. Since 2019, we have welcomed interns joining various teams across the investment and business departments in Singapore and London.

Inclusive Practices

Enabling GICians to Be at their Best

We believe an inclusive environment will yield exceptional contributions, and instill a sense of belonging.

At GIC, we seek to build an inclusive culture via both top-down and bottom-up initiatives. All through actively inviting participation and contribution from all, and ensuring diverse needs of all our employees are well met. From designing our diverse range of employee benefits with inclusivity in mind, to organising GIC-wide celebratory and learning campaigns on key diversity, equity, & inclusion events globally. We recognise that every employee has a part to play in this continuous journey towards greater inclusivity.

This journey towards a more inclusive GIC will continue to require consistent learning, dedicated commitment and intentional efforts to impact our day-to-day micro, workplace experiences. For lasting impact to happen, each one of us plays a role to forge our organization culture.
