Why did you decide to join GIC?
I was drawn to GIC because of its impressive global multi-asset platform. However, what I found upon joining the organisation was even more impressive than I had anticipated. GIC is a highly adaptable and agile organisation that is constantly striving to improve, which creates an environment that fosters innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.
What does your typical workday look like?
A typical workday at GIC is anything but typical. It could involve a variety of activities, such as engaging in team discussions on potential investment opportunities, attending board meetings, participating in investment committee discussions, meeting with external parties, handling office administration tasks, traveling internationally or domestically, and sifting through countless emails. Never a dull moment at GIC!
What do you like most about working here?
GIC has given me the opportunity to take on impactful projects. One particularly memorable venture was the establishment of our Brazil office. This was a challenging undertaking that required a great deal of teamwork and persistence. However, the result was incredibly rewarding, and I feel a deep sense of pride in having been a part of such a successful endeavour. I am also very excited about being involved in GIC’s sustainability initiatives, including the recent creation of SSG, which is pursuing investment opportunities related to climate change mitigation.
