Leticia is an Assistant Vice President in the Finance and Accounting team in the Investment Services Private Markets Department with a portfolio focus on the Real Estate, Private Equity, and Infrastructure Strategies in Latam.
Her work entails collaborating with the investment teams to structure new investments. Additionally, Leticia is responsible for managing wholly owned entities in Brazil, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and adhering to headquarters’ requirements. She monitors the portfolio, takes necessary actions to support investees and considers the dynamic market conditions to ensure that the investments are accurately valued.
Outside the office, Leticia enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, cooking delightful meals, playing with her dog, watching fascinating movies or shows, and diving into her reading list.
Why did you decide to join GIC?
What primarily piqued my interest in joining GIC was its noteworthy size and distinctive purpose, which aims to benefit the citizens of Singapore. Initially, I envisioned a very formal work environment with a strong emphasis on hierarchy. However, my preconceptions were completely overturned after joining GIC. I discovered that senior leaders at GIC are very approachable, fostering a notably amicable and inviting atmosphere.
What does your typical workday look like?
My day typically begins by perusing through my emails and reading the news before heading to the office. On the way, I make sure to grab a café latte, which serves as a refreshing boost for the day ahead. During the day, I engage in calls with different stakeholders in Brazil. I then prioritize clearing my inbox to focus on my to-do list and dedicate my time to tackling my different tasks.
What do you like most about working here?
I thoroughly enjoy how dynamic my work at GIC is, as each day comes with its unique challenges, providing continuous opportunities for growth and learning. This keeps me from ever getting stagnant. The people at GIC are not only immensely talented and intelligent, but they are also always willing to extend their support whenever I need it.
How would you describe the learning & development culture at GIC?
