Why did you decide to join GIC?
GIC, a prominent global player in the Real Estate industry, was renowned for its involvement in significant deals. When I learned about the opportunity to join the GIC RE London team, I had no hesitations, as there were only a handful of companies that could offer such unparalleled opportunities.
What does your typical workday look like?
Every day is unique in our line of work. We constantly have at least one “live” investment project at hand, which means we are either analyzing opportunities, preparing internal approval documents, or negotiating with sellers, including reviewing draft legal documentation. Additionally, I am responsible for monitoring our current portfolio, which involves meeting with partners and managers to discuss operations and performance. Lastly, we regularly hold meetings with brokers, agents, and partners to explore potential new opportunities.
What do you like most about working here?
One of the aspects I highly appreciate about GIC is the abundance of learning opportunities that arise daily. Not only do I have the privilege of working alongside top-caliber colleagues who possess diverse and extensive experiences, but also given the opportunity to collaborate with world-class partners and managers.
Furthermore, our work remains engaging and captivating throughout the years due to the exposure we gain across a wide range of sectors and investment types.
Moreover, GIC has undergone significant evolution over the years, adapting to become even more agile and dynamic. This has solidified our position as a leader in an increasingly competitive market.
How would you describe the learning & development culture at GIC?
There is no better learning than by doing. The remarkable level of autonomy and responsibility granted to individuals, even at junior levels truly accelerates personal development and growth.
